Manx2.com launches summer season special to Isle of Man

Manx2.com, is launching a special summer season of flights in a bid to grow links between Anglesey and the Isle of Man.

The flights, which are seen as a welcome boost for tourism and leisure in both celtic countries will take off from August 6 and will end a month later on September 6. services will depart every Friday and Monday with fares from just £39 one way.

Manx2.com currently operate flights twice a day between Anglesey Airport and Cardiff under a contract awarded by the Welsh Assembly Government.

Manx2.com Chairman Noel Hayes said: "We are delighted to be able to offer passengers an unique opportunity to visit the Isle of Man by air. With such a beautiful destination only 50 miles across the Irish sea, this summer season special is perfect for those who are keen to experience all our island has to offer, whether it be for a weekend break or the chance to reconnect with friends and relatives."

Clive McGregor, Leader of the Isle of Anglesey County Council said: "This is good news for the airport and so soon after Manx2.com took over the route to Cardiff. It is a great opportunity for visitors from the Isle of man to visit Anglesey over the summer . I hope the venture is one we can build upon. Under the current difficult economic conditions we must make the most of every opportunity and this is one I very much welcome."

During the trial, flights will depart the Isle of Man on Fridays, arriving at Anglesey Airport at 13.30. The return flight will depart Anglesey Airport at 13.50, arriving at the Isle of Man at 14.20.

On Mondays, flights will depart the Isle of Man ar 15.00, arriving at Anglesey Airport at 15.30. The return flight will depart Anglesey Airport at 16.00, arriving at the Isle of Man at 16.30.
