Successful "Proving Flight" For Anglesey - Cardiff Air Service

The proving flight taxies in at Anglesey Airport

Business representatives from across north west Wales were given a preview of the new air service linking Anglesey and Cardiff recently.

Highland Airways, the airline chosen to deliver the scheduled Anglesey - Cardiff air service from May 2007, conducted a successful proving flight on 11 April.

Guests gathered at Anglesey Airport to witness the arrival of inaugural flight. Many expressed their intention to be among the first to use the new service when it begins officially on May 8, 2007.

County Council Leader, Councillor Gareth Winston Roberts OBE, joined journalists and other guests on-board the flight. Cllr Roberts said, "Anglesey Airport will act a catalyst for regeneration. It will provide a significant boost for local business and tourism across North West Wales."
